For Lots of Lost Windows
たくさんの失われた窓のためにFor Lots of Lost Windows is part of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field, a collection of art pieces set among the vast bucolic landscape of Echigo-Tsumari.
The Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, which takes place every three years among the vast bucolic landscape of Echigo-Tsumari, is one of the largest international art festivals in the world. Even outside the Triennale’s event period, approximately 200 artworks can still be enjoyed throughout the area.
“For Lots of Lost Windows,” located in the Nakasato area, is one of these pieces. This window frame standing solemnly among the grand nature was designed with the artist’s hope that visitors would stop to admire the beautiful local landscapes. Being an outdoor installment, the scenery changes naturally with the season, time, and weather. You’ll be sure to discover something new each time you gaze through the frame, allowing an endless appreciation of the blissful views spreading out before you.
