Momijien, Maple Garden

もみじ園

Beautiful fall leaves illuminated

You can enjoy historical Japanese architecture and a garden built more than 150 years ago at Momijien.
This 4,000 square meters garden has a variety of plants that includes 150 to 200-year-old wild cherries, momiji plants, Japanese maples and azaleas. Tea ceremonies are often held in the garden.
During the fall when the leaves change colors, the maples become vividly colored and look magical when lit up at night.
