Yoshinogawa Sake Museum Joh-gura

吉乃川 酒ミュージアム『醸蔵(じょうぐら)』

Experience the flavors and fascinating world of Niigata sake.

The Yoshinogawa Sake Museum Joh-gura stands on the grounds of Yoshinogawa, a historic sake brewery founded in 1548. It occupies a century-old warehouse that was designed for sake bottling, now renovated with a shop selling Yoshinogawa’s signature sake, limited seasonal brews, and exclusive editions only available here, along with a sake bar. For those who don’t drink, are driving, or visiting with children, the bar also has non-alcoholic options.

The museum has displays showcasing the appeal of sake, the brewing process, and the history of Yoshinogawa. A large projector screens entertaining videos, and there are sake-making simulation games adding to the immersive and fun experience!
