Bull Fighting (Ojiya, Yamakoshi)
牛の角突き（小千谷・山古志）Watch two one-ton bulls collide!
The battle of clashing horns that unfurls at the bullfighting arena is a sight to see! The bullfights have a history of over 1000 years, and have been designated an important intangible cultural property. Unlike most bullfights in Japan, most fights end in a draw.
The fights are held in Ojiya City and Nagaoka City (Yamakoshi area).
