Located on high ground where you can see downtown Yuzawa, this hot spring inn uses 800 year old untreated groundwater. It is also famous as the location where Nobel-winning author Yasunari Kawabata’s novel wrote his novel Snow Country. The room where he stayed, Kasumi-no-ma, has been preserved for public viewing.
