Recalling the legacy of the Sengoku-era war hero called “the dragon of Echigo” Uesugi Kenshin, who was associated with Tochio, festivities such as tea ceremony, judo competitions, sutra chanting, and sword dancing will be going on at Akiba Park.

Time: From 9:00 a.m.

Location: Joan-ji Temple, Akiba Park, and Tochio Gymnasium, 2 Yachi, Nagaoka City

Directions: 50 minutes to the “Chuo Koen-mae” bus stop on buses headed to “Tochio Shako-mae” departing from JR Nagaoka Station Ote Exit Bus Platform 11
