The manufacturing industry is thriving in the cities of Tsubame and Sanjo, which are located in the middle of Niigata Prefecture. About 400 years ago, Japanese-style nail production began in this region, followed by metal goods and cutlery used in daily life, producing goods that fit the era. While continuing traditional crafts such as beaten copper pots, craftsmen have developed work tools and western cutlery such as knives and forks to meet the needs of modern life, as well as expanded into the field of beauty tools. The advanced techniques used to make the cutlery that is used at the Nobel Prize Award reception and frothing stainless steel cups have been praised.
